When you subscribe to a Cashforward package, we collect personal information you provide directly: name, date of birth, address, contact information, government-issued ID, banking details for Interac e-Transfer, and proof of income. We also collect information about your interactions with our website and services, including IP address, device information, and the pages you view.
We use your information to verify your identity, process your subscription payments, send your cashback by Interac e-Transfer, report your payments to Equifax Canada and TransUnion Canada, and provide the bundled services included in your package (identity-theft monitoring, financial coaching, bill negotiation, tax filing). We also use aggregated, de-identified data to improve our products.
We share your information only with: (a) Equifax Canada and TransUnion Canada, for credit-bureau reporting; (b) Interac and our payment processor, to move money; (c) service providers who help us deliver the bundled services (identity-theft monitoring, coaching) under written contract; and (d) regulators or law enforcement when legally required. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, ever.
We use 256-bit SSL encryption end-to-end on every page that handles personal information. Sensitive data is stored encrypted at rest, with access limited to employees who need it. We monitor for unauthorized access and respond promptly to any incident in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and provincial equivalents).
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, and ask us to delete information that is no longer needed. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@cashforward.ca or write to our mailing address. We will respond within 30 days.
